I have been practicing yoga for 25 years, teaching it for 24 years, and leading retreats for more than 20 years. It has been a wonderful journey. For me, one of the most gratifying things has been to watch the people I work with discover how to listen to what their body needs and to support them in their self-exploration. Learning how to listen to your body is vital and one of the most important subtleties in self-healing, restoration, and longevity.
This year I am honored to partner with the âme Spa and Wellness Collective at Turnberry Isle Miami to offer specially designed yoga and meditation retreats called The Vital Body. These retreats are designed as an easily accessible, immersive experience to help break pain patterns and reconnect to the body’s own energy source; in essence, to awaken one’s body and soul for optimal health and healing by learning to listen to its needs.
The work that we will do together during The Vital Body yoga and meditation sessions, as well as the living wellness talks, will be enhanced by the services and treatments offered onsite at Turnberry Isle’s âme Spa. The spa’s collection of special treatments – over 70 water, sound, light, and touch therapies – will help soften tight muscles, begin to quiet the mind and unwind the body, preparing participants to receive the most from the yoga and meditation practices throughout The Vital Body retreat.
